Music development plan

At Co-op Academy Oakwood our motto is 'be the best you can be'. Our curriculum is designed so that pupils can discover their talents and interests. All pupils have the opportunity to learn instruments throughout their time at the academy. Pupils learn the glockenspiel, ukulele and clarinet. 

Our curriculum follows the Charanga scheme of learning. This allows pupils to experience a wide range of music; sing individually and in groups; learn how to make and read music as well as creating and evaluating their own pieces. Pupils experience a wide range of music genres through the listening curriculum.
