Summer 1 Week 1 Newsletter - Eco conference, Lotherton Hall and 100 reads

Eco conference

Some members of the eco-committee went to Angel Square in Manchester to attend the Trust eco conference. The children enjoyed lots of different workshops, including making milk bottle swallows, seed bombs and human-powered smoothies. The children presented it to all the other schools to tell them about what our eco-committee does.

Lotherton Hall

Year 2 pupils and staff visited Lotherton hall on Tuesday. The children enjoyed a workshop learning about different creatures. As you can see from the pictures, some children even dressed as penguins when learning about them. The children enjoyed visiting and seeing the penguins on the visit. One of the other highlights of the visit was going to the park and playing on the climbing frame and slides. A member of the public emailed the academy to say that the children were superbly behaved and very kind to her young child who was also enjoying the play area.
