Year 2’s trip to Elland Road 

Last week, Year 2 had a very enjoyable trip to the home of Leeds United - Elland Road. The children were lucky to have a tour of the stadium. On the tour, the children saw the statue of Billy Bremner and learnt some facts about him. One of the highlights of the visit was visiting the media suite where pupils even got to sit in the interview spots!

World Book Day celebrations

On Thursday, the school was filled with teddies, princesses, superheroes and a lot of pyjama wearing staff and children. As part of World Book Day, children across school took part in a variety of book-based activities including bookmark making. After school, we enjoyed bedtime stories in the hall. Families enjoyed reading together with a delicious hot chocolate.

Design technology 

Children across school have been developing their design and technology skills. In Year 2, children are working towards making their own finger puppets. Year 3 pupils have been investigating how to join materials together ready to make their badges and brooches.
