Learning at Oakwood
Something very mysterious happened in Year 1 on Monday morning. The children were inspired in their writing by the mess in their classroom! Year 2 completed a traffic survey and next week they will compare the results with a school in Wales. Year 3 have investigated using different mediums in art which can be seen in their stretch books. Year 4 have enjoyed experimenting on how to use different brushes and watercolours to create artwork. Year 5 are getting scientific and learning all about Newtons this week.
World Mental Health Day Thursday 10th October
We will be celebrating World Mental Health Day next week. Children can come to school wearing a yellow or green accessory. Talking about our mental health can help us to cope better with life's’ up and downs. We will have a whole school assembly and allowing the children time to talk.
Every moment matters!
Has your child spoken to you about our Friday assemblies where we ‘spin the wheel’ and give out Curly Wurly’s? Everyone is in it to win it if they have 100% attendance and arrive on time!
