Poetry competition - What a Wonderful World

Three children from Years 5 and 6 joined other Co-op Academy schools for the first ever poetry competition for Co-op Academies.

The children performed poetry to each other in a speaking and listening competition.

Our children performed ‘What a Wonderful World’. Not only did they speak in front of a large audience but they also signed the entire poem too. All of the children were able to give feedback to each other and one child wrote of our performance that ‘It warmed my heart’. Great performance!

Summer of sports

Although the weather may not feel like summer, our ‘Summer of Sport’ is well underway. All of the children from Nursery to Year 6 had the opportunity to compete in races and events - the welly wanging was a particular highlight!

Year 6 pupils have organised a cricket competition for all Key Stage pupils which is well underway. The pupils have organised the event for other pupils showing the Co-op Way of Being ‘Succeed Together’.  We would like to thank all of the staff, pupils and families for supporting all of the sporting events that are happening in school.

Skills builder - card making

All of the children in school have taken part in a Skills Builder activity event. All of the children worked in teams to produce cards. This truly shows the Way of Being ‘Succeed Together’.
