Welcome to our new Head of School

Mrs Walsh joined the academy on Monday. She has spent some time in classes getting to know the children and staff. You will find her outside at the start and end of the school day. Mrs Walsh has said she has had an amazing week with you all.

Chilli cooking in Year 6

Class 13 and Class 14 worked as a team to create their own chilli meal. Pupils prepared, chopped, cooked and served the chilli in class. Class 14 even create a cafe investing Mrs Walsh, Miss Spivey, Mrs Jones, Mrs Price and Mr Day to taste the delicious quorn chilli. 

All of the children enjoyed working together to create the experience for the staff and to create their healthy meal. If you have a child in Year 6, they now know how to make and serve chilli - you can ask them to make it at home for you.

Eco Club - insect houses

At Co-op Academy Oakwood our Eco club have been working together to make insect houses. They used natural resources to make some fabulous new homes for the creatures.
