Class 2 Bubble Closure – Tuesday 20th July 2021
I want to let you know that we have had a staff member/pupil test positive for COVID-19.
Following the guidance and instruction from the Government, the Department for Education and Public Health respectively, we must isolate Class 2 for 10 days including weekends.
Your child will now be required to remain at home for 10 days, meaning they should return to school on Friday 30th July if they do not have any symptoms of coronavirus and feel well enough to attend school. If your child contacts COVID-19 symptoms at any time during this period, please arrange for a test as soon as possible and contact the school with the outcome of that test.
It is important that students isolate at home and do not meet up or mix with other students and people, even if they don’t have any COVID-19 symptoms during this period. During school hours, it is the expectation that all children continue their studies at home. This is crucially important and when your child returns to school it will be assumed all the work set has been completed to the best of their ability. Please do contact the school if there are any problems with the home learning.
We have undertaken a thorough deep-clean of the academy for those pupils and staff who will continue to attend. We continue to feel confident about the steps we have taken to protect pupils and staff. Public Health has instructed the academy that any siblings you have in different year groups/bubbles can continue to attend the academy unless anyone in your household group develops COVID-19 symptoms.
Thank you for your support.
