Autumn 1 week 4 Newsletter - Learning at Oakwood, Benchball winners and Every moment matters

Learning at Oakwood

Year 1 have been trying super hard to write in full sentences. Year 2 collected all of these natural objects for use in art. This week they have created art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.  Year 5 have been improving their writing, sometimes it is easier to spot mistakes when a partner reads our work to us. Year 6 have been celebrating European Day of Languages by enjoying a French breakfast of hot chocolate and croissants; tasting some French Brie cheese; and listening to and researching a French-speaking artist.

Benchball Winners!

It was our amazing Year 3 and Year 4 this week who were the winners following on from last week’s success for Year 5 and Year 6. They attended the inter-schools competition this week at Co-op Academy Leeds and Co-op academy Oakwood were the first place winners! The children aimed high and succeeded together!

Every moment matters!
