Headteacher Announcement📢
The Spring term has nearly come to an end. The pupils and staff have been working very hard. This week, the children completed their Spring assessments.
Year 4 received a visit from a Viking, who helped bring their history topic to life. Year 5 have enjoyed their intensive swimming lessons this week. Especially, as they missed out on lessons due to the pandemic.
Some of our pupils across the academy have enjoyed being part of the Co-op Young Leaders programme. After Easter, these pupils will be helping to make playtimes and lunchtimes even better, by managing activities on the playground.
This week, we say goodbye to Mrs Emerson, who is leaving us for pastures new. Mrs Emerson has been with us for 14 years and we wish her the very best of luck.
Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families who are celebrating.
We wish you all a safe and peaceful break and look forward to seeing you back in on, Tuesday 19th April.
Reading📖
This is a key focus for our academy. During the Easter break, please can children ready regularly. Remember, 100 reads earns pupils a golden ticket for our amazing vending machine.

Safeguarding
It has been brought to our attention that there is a new online horror game, which some children are talking about in school. It is called ‘Poppy’s Playtime’ and is based on a toy which chases you around a toy factory. The toy in this game is called Huggy Wuggy.
Huggy Wuggy has rows of sharp teeth and chases the players in the game. This leads to the death of the character. This content is not appropriate for primary aged children.

Governors
This week, the Governors had their annual Academy Governing Council meeting. They have considered how to make communication better with families. Watch this space for more information.
